Privacy Policy

Netio Technologies Ltd ("Netio", "we") is based in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, and processes personal data in accordance with the Tanzania Personal Data Protection Act, 2022. This policy explains what we collect and why. The short version: nothing about you is public unless you decide it is, and we never sell your data.

What we collect

• Phone number — used to verify you are a real person. Never shown to other members unless you explicitly share it.
• Profile details — your name, what you do, and where you work. This is what other members see.
• Approximate location — fuzzed to a 100 m radius before it is stored or shown. We never keep your precise location.
• Endorsements — who endorsed you and for what. These are public by design.

What we don't do

• We don't sell or rent your data to anyone.
• We don't show ads or share data with advertisers.
• We can't read your messages — they are end-to-end encrypted.
• We don't track you across other apps or websites.

How long we keep it

For as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your profile, endorsements and messages are permanently deleted within 30 days.

Your rights

You may request a copy of your data, correct it, or have it deleted at any time — in the app under Settings → Privacy, or by writing to privacy@netio.co.tz. Complaints may also be directed to the Personal Data Protection Commission of Tanzania.
